Which Michigan SOS Branches Open on Saturday?
Some of the Michigan SOS branches that operate on Saturdays include the Livonia, Pontiac and Clinton Township branch offices, as of 2015. These branches are known as SUPER!Centers and operate on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon, except on certain holidays.
Most SOS branches are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., except in city buildings, where they are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. According to Ruth Johnson, Secretary of State Department of State, smaller offices may close for lunch, and all of them are closed on state holidays, such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
SOS offers a number of online services, including application for driver’s license, state identification card, becoming an organ donor, CDL Self and Medical Certification, voter registration and change of address, obtaining driving record, emergency medical card and renewal of driver’s license and replacing driver’s license. Additionally, it also provides information on locating branch offices, driver responsibility program, and driver’s license fees, driving skills testing organizations, motorcycle rider courses and where to get an enhanced identification card or license.
