A Golden Birthday is a special, unique, once-in-a-lifetime event that occurs when you turn the age similar to your birthdate. It is also referred to as a Grand Birthday, Star Birthday, Lucky Birthday or Champagne Birthday.
For example, if a person was born on August 18, then his Golden Birthday is the day he turns 18. This means you only have till the age of 31 to celebrate your Golden Birthday. The concept of Golden Birthdays is credited to Joan Bramsch who claims she first got the idea in 1955. The Golden Birthday concept is often confused with an individual's 50th birthday.
