How Do You Mass Delete Tweets?

Use TwitWipe, a free online service for deleting mass tweets at once without the need to download a program. You need an Internet-ready computer and your Twitter information to get started.

  1. Open a browser

Open your preferred Web browser, and back up any important tweets from your Twitter account. Next, navigate to the TwitWipe home page. Click the blue Get Started button to begin.

  2. Sign in with Twitter

Insert the code into the security captcha, and click the blue Proceed button. On the new page, enter your Twitter username or email address in the text field. Type your password, and click Authorize App. Wait for the page to redirect you back to TwitWipe.

  3. Mass delete your tweets

Once the page loads, TwitWipe prompts you to delete your tweets. Either click the red Yes button to confirm the action or the blue No button to cancel. TwitWipe explains that the delete process cannot be undone. Click Yes to mass delete your tweets.

  4. Observe the process

After you click Yes, TwitWipe starts the deletion process. Depending on the number of your tweets, it can take a while to delete everything. CNET recommends performing the deletion process before you go to bed, as the process can take many hours to complete. Click the blue Sign Out button when done.
