The Green Bay Packers have no mascot. The Packers are one of the few teams in the NFL with no official mascot, along with the Washington Redskins, the San Diego Chargers, the New York Jets and the New York Giants.

The Packers are named in honor of the Indian Packing Company. The Packers’ founder and first head coach, Curly Lambeau, acquired the money for team uniforms from the Indian Packing Company, his employer at the time, so he named the team after the company. The Indian Packing Company is no longer in business, but the team’s name has never changed.
