One million has exactly 1,000 thousands in it. Simply divide the number 1,000,000 by 1,000 in order to find the answer to this math problem.
Conversely, you may multiply in order to find the solution to this problem. With math problems that involve the 10s, you simply have to add the zeros. Since you have three zeros in 1,000, you need three more zeros to total the six zeros in 1,000,000. The problem looks like 1,000 x 1,000. The multiplication gives you 1,000,000. The same trick applies to 10s such as 30 and 40, but you must multiply the whole numbers.
