According to nutritional information provided by Domino’s Pizza, an extra-large pizza has eight slices. Medium and large pizzas contain eight slices as well, and a small pizza is cut into six slices.
Domino’s Pizza has been making pizza pies since 1960, when it started with one restaurant in Ypsilanti, Mich. Seven years later, the city became home to the first Domino’s franchise. In 1968, the first non-Michigan store opened in Burlington, VT. The 1,000th restaurant, as well as the first one in Australia, opened in 1983. The company took off in the mid-1980s, opening an additional 954 pizzerias in 1985 alone. There are over 11,000 Domino’s Pizzas, half of which are outside the United States.
