According to Business Insider from Nov. 25, 2011, McDonald’s sells about 75 hamburgers every second, which comes out to about 6,480,000 hamburgers every day. McDonald’s serves about 1 percent of the total earth population every day as well.
When McDonald’s counts all of the revenue it collects from franchise stores, the company makes $56 billion a year, which is larger than the total economy of Ecuador. McDonald’s is a fast food behemoth, and it shows no signs of slowing down. The company opens on average one store in China every day. Even with negative publicity about mistreating employees, McDonald’s remains the world’s most popular restaurant.
