There are four Grand Slam tennis tournaments. These tournaments are the Australian Open in January at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, the French Open in May and June at the Stade de Roland Garros in Paris, the Wimbledon Championships in June and July at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London and the U.S. Open in August and September at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City.
Grand Slam winners are players who have won all four of these championships in the same calendar year. As of 2014, Margaret Court holds the all-time record for the most Grand Slam singles titles with a total of 24 victories in Grand Slam tournaments over the course of her career.
