How Many Gallons of Gas Does the Tank in a Ford Focus Hold?
All models of the 2014 Ford Focus, except for the electric hatch, have a gas tank that can hold 12.4 gallons of fuel. The sedan has an estimated mileage of 26 miles per gallon in the city, yielding a range of over 300 miles with a full tank.
Ford offers the Focus in four different variations: sedan, hatch, electric hatch and ST hatch. Except for the electric hatch, all models are powered by a 2.0-liter gas engine fed from a 12.4 gallon tank. The sedan and hatch engines are tuned to produce 160 horsepower, while the ST hatch is more powerful, generating 252 horsepower. Hence, the ST hatch has a slightly lower estimated mileage of 23 miles per gallon in the city, reducing its range to 285 miles, almost 40 miles less than the other models.
