Sceptre televisions are manufactured by Sceptre Incorporated, a producer of consumer electronics that is headquartered in the City of Industry, Calif., as of 2014. The company was founded in 1984, and their products are distributed by major retailers such as Amazon, Walmart and Costco.
Sceptre televisions are developed by an internal research and development team. In 1984, Sceptre Incorporated released its first line of televisions using CRT technology. Between 1993 and 2014, Sceptre's research and development divisions have played a part in developing technological standards for televisions, such as LCD displays, LED displays and the integration of LED screens with touch panels for the HDTV format.
