Kirkland Signature cookware is part of a line of products developed by Costco for sale in its warehouse stores alongside national brands. The cookware’s country of origin is Thailand.
Costco first introduced Kirkland Signature as its house brand in 1995. The brand’s name is a reference to the location of Costco headquarters in Kirkland, Washington. Craig Jelinek, president and CEO of Costco, has stated that Kirkland Signature products are intended to augment the stores’ product offerings. He also said that, to become a Kirkland Signature item, a product must have quality equal to or better than national brands while simultaneously offering savings to Costco’s members.
