How Do You Make a Sequence Board Game?
To make a sequence board game, gather your materials, prepare the board, cut the cards, and glue the cards to the board. This takes about 90 minutes and requires a piece of cardboard, a regular full deck of playing cards, a ruler, a pencil, scissors and glue.
-
Prepare the board
Cut the cardboard into a 12 by 12 inch piece. Divide the board into 100 squares using your ruler and pencil. Measure each square to be 1.2 by 1.2 inches.
-
Prepare the cards
Cut each of the cards in half, including the jokers. Do not cut the jacks. Cut each of the halves into a 1.2 by 1.2 inch square, being sure to include the number and suit of the card.
-
Attach the cards to the board
Glue each of the cut cards onto the squares on the board. Start by gluing the jokers in the four corners and kings in the four center squares, using one of each suit. Glue a corresponding ace below each king. Cards two, four and seven of the corresponding suits go in respective order below the aces. Cards eight, nine and 10 go beside the seven. Card six goes above the nine. Card five goes above the eight. Card three goes above the five. Fill in the rest of the board in the same pattern. The remaining kings and queens go in the spaces remaining.
