How Do You Make Homemade Nail Polish Remover?
To make homemade nail polish remover, simply mix equal parts lemon juice and vinegar together. To use the nail polish remover, dip a cotton ball into the mixture and then press it onto your polished nail. You need a medium bowl, cotton balls, lemon juice, vinegar and a spoon. The entire process only takes a few minutes.
-
Pour 1/2 cup of lemon juice into a bowl
Pour 1/2 cup of lemon juice into a medium bowl. You can use bottled lemon juice bought from any grocery store, or you can squeeze your own. Either way works well because of the acidity in the lemons.
-
Add 1/2 cup of vinegar into the bowl
Pour 1/2 cup of vinegar into the bowl with the lemon juice. White vinegar is the most common choice, but apple cider vinegar works as well.
-
Mix the ingredients together
Using a spoon, mix the lemon juice and vinegar together thoroughly. Mix until they are combined well into one liquid.
-
Dip a cotton ball into the mixture, and remove nail polish
Take a cotton ball, and dip it into your homemade nail polish remover. Squeeze the excess into the bowl and then press onto each nail for about 10 seconds.
