How Do You Make Flesh-Colored Icing?

Several combinations of food coloring or concentrated icing colorant can be used to create flesh-colored icing. For Caucasian skin tones, using food coloring, start with pure white icing and add 4 drops of red and 3 drops of yellow for a pink flesh tone.
For a peach tone, add 6 drops of red and 8 drops of yellow. A small amount of brown colorant can be added to pink icing to create the same effect. For darker skin-tones, such as African, Native American, Middle Eastern or Hispanic, it is better to start with chocolate icing and add white icing to lighten the shade. Adding large amounts of colorants to white icing changes the icing’s consistency and creates an unpleasant aftertaste. Since it is very difficult to create an exact color match, always mix enough colored icing to complete the decoration.
