Make a cake roll from cake mix by adding eggs, water and vegetable oil to a box of cake mix. Bake the cake in a jelly roll or large rimmed baking pan. Immediately roll the cake and a towel up together, and chill.
To make a cake roll from cake mix, beat 6 eggs together, and then add 1 box of cake mix, 1/2 cup of water and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil to make the batter. Line a jelly roll or rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Brush baking spray on the paper, and dust it with flour. Pour the batter into the prepared baking sheet, and bake the cake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 to 16 minutes.
While the cake bakes, sprinkle 1/4 cup of powdered sugar on a clean kitchen towel. Upend the cake onto the prepared towel immediately after removing it from the oven. Peel off the parchment paper, and roll the cake and towel together. After 10 minutes, place the rolled cake in the refrigerator for one hour.
Remove the cake from the refrigerator after it has sufficiently chilled, and carefully unroll it. Remove the towel, and spread 1 container of frosting over the cake. Roll it up again, and frost the outside of the cake roll.
