Tourism is one of the most significant sectors in England with more than a million tourists every year. It employs more than 2 million people with London being the largest tourist destination. The services sector, such as insurance, banking and business services, has played a major role in contributing to England’s gross domestic product. Although the manufacturing industry in England has been declining, the aerospace sector remains a key player in England’s economy. Oil and gas accounts for about 10 percent of the GDP.
