Magic Chef appliances are manufactured by CNA International Inc., which does business as MC Appliance Corporation. This company imports, distributes and markets under different brand names. The Magic Chef brand has also been owned by Maytag and Whirlpool.
The Magic Chef company was originally called the American Stove Company. It marketed the Magic Chef brand in 1929. By 1951, Magic Chef was so popular that the company changed its name to match the brand.
Although the company has manufactured multiple products since its onset, it focuses on small appliances as of 2014. The Magic Chef line of small appliances includes a hand mixer, a can opener, a toaster, a mini chopper, an iron, a coffeemaker and an electric knife.
