Are There Lymph Nodes in the Stomach?

There are approximately 600 lymph nodes located throughout your body, including in your stomach, according to the Cleveland Clinic. Some lymph nodes, such as those in your neck, are located closer to your skin and can be felt with your fingers. Others are located deep inside body tissues.

Lymph nodes, which are part of your immune system, act as a filter, removing waste from your body, states the American Cancer Society (ACS). Swollen lymph nodes in your stomach may be a sign of serious disease or infection, continues the ACS. Seek medical attention if your abdomen is swollen and/or tender.
