How Do You Look up an FHA Case Number?

To look up an FHA case number, visit the Home Store website from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, located at HudHomeStore.com, explains Sentinel Field Services. Site users can access the case number with the property address.

Once on HUDHomeStore.com, go to the Search Properties section and enter the address of the property for which you need the case number, explains Sentinel Field Services. On the next page that appears, the FHA case number is listed in between the property’s photo and the property address under the heading of Property Case.

For more detailed information on an FHA case, says HUD, website users need to visit HUD’s FHA Connection website and use either the Case Detail or Case Query section. These sections are only available to authorized users. In order to gain access and obtain a username and password, visitors must register according to the user type listed on the FHA website.

Authorized users of the FHA Connections, according to HUD, include approved FHA lenders, ONAP-approved Lenders, Service Bureaus, Auditor or Independent Public Accountants using LEAP, and FHA appraisers. They also include FHA HECM Housing Counselors, Counseling Agency Application Coordinators, CAIVRS for Federal Agencies, Non-FHA Approved Lenders and FHA Subsidiary Ledger Business Partners.
