After signing up for EBT, it takes up to 33 days to receive an EBT card. An application can take 30 days to be approved before the EBT card is sent out, which usually takes two or three days to reach the individual, depending on the speed of the post office.
According to Project Bread’s Getting Snap website, expedited benefits are available for people who need benefits fast. Processing of these emergency benefits takes up to seven days, and at least one of the following requirements must be met: income and savings is less than the cost of monthly housing expenses; income is less than $150, and money in the bank is less than $100; or the applicant is a migrant worker and has less than $100 in the bank.
