An opened can or bottle of prune juice can last for 5 to 7 days in the refrigerator. This juice can also be frozen safely for 8 to 12 months.
Prune juice should be refrigerated once it is open and not left at room temperature. The best buy date or expiration date should be used to determine shelf life.
If freezing this juice, a half an inch of head space should be allowed in the container to give the juice room to expand as it freezes.
Frozen juice can be safely thawed on the counter top or in the refrigerator.
