It typically takes approximately three to five days to obtain a police report. However, it often takes longer than this time frame if an investigation is pending.
The person requesting the police report must first complete a “Request For Copies” form. This takes place at the police station where the original file was reported. There may also be an additional charge for requesting multiple reports. Additionally, the person requesting the report can have it sent to either his home, office or another destination. It is important to remember the destination location when filling out the mailing address on the form.
