The exact length of time it takes for a plucked hair to grow back depends on an individual’s hair re-growth cycle. Typically, plucked hair takes at least two weeks to grow back, and, in certain cases, re-growth occurs within four to six weeks. Hair plucking is typically performed with a pair of tweezers, and the hair is pulled out of the follicle at the hair root.

The eyebrows, upper lips and head are the most common areas for hair plucking on the body. The eyebrows and upper lips are typically tweezed and plucked to remove excess hair and create a smooth appearance, and many individuals also prefer to pluck random grey or white hairs from the head in order to achieve a more youthful appearance.
