How Long Does It Take for Liquid Nails to Dry?
Last Updated Apr 16, 2020 9:14:46 PM ET
Liquid Nails construction adhesive begins drying in 15 minutes and reaches maximum strength in about seven days, though actual dry time varies with humidity, temperature and adhered materials. Using the proper Liquid Nails formulated for specific substrates impacts drying time as well.
Make sure the substrates are structurally sound, clean and dry prior to application for optimal strength and dry time. Liquid Nails remains flexible when dry and cures from the outside. Brace the project overnight to ensure proper adhesion. While drying, Liquid Nails is flammable, but all solvents dissipate during dry time. It is water resistant but not recommended for use under water lines, such as in a swimming pool.
