How Long Does Cooked Bacon Last in the Refrigerator?
Last Updated Apr 6, 2020 6:12:49 PM ET

Cooked bacon lasts up to 5 days in the refrigerator and up to 6 weeks in the freezer. Although these guidelines are generally acceptable, check the bacon for strange odors or coloring before eating it.
Cooked bacon that is frozen has a longer shelf life than raw frozen bacon, so preparing it before freezing provides the benefit of an extended expiration date as well as easy food prep.
Cooked bacon should be stored in shallow, airtight containers or heavy-duty aluminum foil. To provide extra cushion, wrap the cooked bacon in paper towels.
To prevent the growth of bacteria and lengthen the freshness time of leftover bacon, refrigerate or freeze it within 2 hours of removing it from the pan.
