How Long Do I Cook Chicken Drumsticks in the Oven?
Last Updated Mar 30, 2020 6:34:03 PM ET
To properly cook chicken drumsticks, bake them at 425 degrees on the ovens convection setting for about 35 minutes. The drumsticks should reach an internal temperature of 185 degrees when they are thoroughly cooked.
If the drumsticks are unable to be checked with an internal thermometer, insert a knife into the most dense part of the meat and watch the color of the juices that rise to the surface. Once they are clear and there is no pink tinge, the meat is thoroughly cooked. The meat will also begin to pull back from the bone and raise up to the crown of the leg.
