Chinese food leftovers are safe when stored in the refrigerator for up to four days. After four days, throw the leftovers out to prevent the risk of foodborne illness. Additionally, it is important to refrigerate leftovers within two hours of eating to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria.
When reheating leftovers, make sure they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a food thermometer to ensure that the temperature reaches this level and that the food is safe. Leftover Chinese food can also be frozen for up to four months when it is stored in freezer-safe containers or bags.
