How Long Do I Bake Chicken Pieces?
Bone-in chicken breasts should be baked about 30 to 40 minutes while boneless chicken breasts need only 20 to 30 minutes. The total cooking time for chicken pieces depends on the part of the chicken being cooked and whether it is boneless or bone-in.
Bone-in legs require 40 to 50 minutes of baking time. Wings require about 30 to 40 minutes. Boneless breast cutlets need about 10 to 15 minutes to bake and boneless thighs cook in about 30 to 35 minutes. When different types of pieces are cooked together, those that have shorter cooking times can be removed and kept warm while the other pieces finish baking, or they can be removed slightly prior to their recommended times and added back in to finish cooking at the end of the longer cooking time.
