How Do You Locate a Master Lock Key Code?

The Master Lock key code, or key number, is available as an imprint on the side of the key. This number is necessary if needing new keys for a Master Lock padlock.

If a key number is available, customers can usually contact a locksmith to obtain new keys for the Master Lock padlock. However, not all locksmiths offer this service, so make sure to ask before assuming this service is available. If the key number is not available and removing the lock is not possible, the only solution is to contact a locksmith who has the tools and expertise to cut the lock and fully remove it.

Master Lock recommends that customers store key numbers and combinations online at its website, MasterLockVault.com. The information is available 24 hours a day, and it allows customers to access these numbers as long as there is an Internet connection available. This can help save time searching for combinations and lock numbers, and it saves money since opening and removing locks is expensive.

Though having a key code is necessary to obtain a new key, this method does not work with all Master Lock products. In some cases, it is not possible to cut a new key, so the only solution is to have a locksmith remove the lock.
