What Is a List of Fall Sports?
There are many fall sports, including baseball, bowling, cross country, football, field hockey, fencing, soccer, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. Sports vary each season due to the conditions and the ease of performing activities.
Soccer is a ball game that requires two teams to play. Each team tries to score a goal against the other team. The players aren’t allowed to use their hands or arms to control the ball. Predominantly, players use their feet to control and run the ball, but other body parts, including the legs, knees and head can be used.
Fencing develops individual skills and is one of the sports in which girls and boys compete on equal ground. Fencing improves hand-eye coordination and increases reaction time. There are three levels of fencing: epee, saber and foil. Epee fencing requires the heaviest weapon. Points are scored with the tip of the blade, and the target is any part of the body. Saber fencing is more physical. Points are scored with the tip and the side of the blade, and the target point is anywhere above the waist. Foil fencing is the most common and is often used in competition and to teach basic lessons. The tip of the blade is used to score points, and only the torso is the target.
