What Are Some Facts About the Life of Christian Singer Marabeth Jordan?
Marabeth Jordan is a former member of the Christian adult contemporary music group First Call. She is originally from Arkansas and currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee as of 2015.
Jordan replaced First Call member Melodie Tunney in 1990 when Tunney left to build a songwriting ministry with her musician husband, Dick Tunney. The group’s name refers to its Nashville reputation as the first group of people to call for background vocals, session singing and commercial jingles.
Jordan was an established background singer in her own right before joining First Call, and her musical bio indicates collaborations with A-list musicians, such as LeeAnn Womack, Joan Baez and Vince Gill.
Jordan subsequently left First Call. Today, she is a painter who works with acrylics, depicting flowers, dancing girls, simple natural tableaux and light abstract expressionism. She sells her work through her Nashville studio and on the websites MarabathQuinn.com and FineArtAmerica.com.
Some of her work appears as part of the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital corporate collections in Nashville and on the cover of a 2013 issue of the magazine “Pink.” Her husband is Casey Quinn, and she has two children, Jordon and Sophie, with a previous husband, Paul Salveson. On social media and websites where she sells her art, Jordan uses her married name Quinn.
In March 2012, Jordan’s daughter Sophie suffered a massive stroke that left her with little-to-no mobility on the right side of her body.
