Lady Justice is holding a sword as a representation of the power and strength of justice. Lady Justice is also holding a scale that represents the balance and fairness of justice. A third symbol on the statue is the blindfold, which represents objectivity in the implementation of justice.
The statue of Lady Justice can be found in Washington D.C in the main entrance to the Supreme Court Building facing the United States Capital. The marble figures next to Lady Justice include two seated figures, the "Guardian of Law" and the "Contemplation of Justice." These statues represent the duties of the Supreme Court.
