Where Are Kia Cars Made?

As of 2015, Kia cars are produced at 14 assembly and manufacturing locations located in eight countries. Kia produces over 1.4 million vehicles annually, a large portion of which are manufactured in three plants in its home country of South Korea.

In the United States, Kia operates a manufacturing facility in West Point, Georgia, where it employs 3,000 people and an additional 7,500 in its supplier network. The company was founded in May of 1944 and is the oldest motor vehicle manufacturing company in South Korea. The company originally built motorcycles and bicycles before transitioning to automobiles in the 1970s.
