What Are the JVC TV Codes for Universal Remotes?
The most common universal remote codes for JVC televisions are 1011, 1012, 1026, 1049, 1052, 1054, 1055, 1080, 1092, 1117, 1131, 1235, 1288 and 1299. The common codes for HD televisions are 1130, 1131 and 1227.
If the universal remote has a Code Search or Program Search button, the remote can be programmed without a code. To use the Code Search feature to program the TV set, first switch the TV on. Press the TV button on the remote, then press and hold the Code Search or Program Search button until the LED on the remote starts to flash. Press the Power button repeatedly, leaving 1 or 2 seconds between presses, until the TV turns off. Now press the Enter or Program button. Press the Power button again to switch the TV on, then check that the other buttons, such as Vol+ and Vol-, operate correctly.
If the remote has no Code Search or Program Search button, it may still have the feature installed. Switch the TV on, and press the TV button on the remote. Now press the Power button or the TV button repeatedly until the TV switches off. Immediately after the TV switches off, press the Enter or Program button. Switch the TV on with the remote, and check that all of the applicable buttons work.
