What Information Does the Kenmore Serial Number Contain?
Last Updated Apr 6, 2020 10:53:20 PM ET
Kenmore serial numbers contain a code to determine the year and week that the appliance was made, as well as the appliance's sequence number coming off the assembly line. Serial number formats vary between appliances but always contain similar information.
All Kenmore serial numbers begin with the date of production. Some serial numbers use a numerical code for the decade of production followed by a numerical code to indicate the year and week. Others use numbers for the entire code. Kenmore serial numbers are usually found stamped on the back or inside of the appliance on a metal or laminate plate.
