What Is Included in the AT&T U-Verse NHL Center Ice Package?
NHL Center Ice is only available on DirectTV, Dish Network and select digital cable providers and is unavailable on AT&T U-verse as of July 2015. NHL Center Ice is a subscription programming package that allows viewers to watch NHL games located outside of their local viewing area.
NHL Center Ice subscribers have access to most regular season NHL games except for those broadcast on NBC Sports Network, NBC or the NHL Network, as well as locally televised games. It is designed so NHL fans can follow the entire league; local games are blacked out. There are also rare instances of games where neither team’s regional sports network is broadcasting the game, making the game unavailable to NHL Center Ice.
Fans located in a team’s TV territory who do not have access to the regional sports network that broadcasts the games still have these games blacked out on NHL Center Ice. The regional sports network retains the rights to broadcast the game, so NHL Center Ice is unable to obtain the rights to broadcast the game.
Not all games are available in high definition; the availability of HD feeds depends of the regional networks that provide access to the televised games.
