Last Updated Mar 28, 2020 8:03:29 PM ET
Hyundai PZEV vehicles are low emission models made using technologies that reduce air pollution. PZEV stands for “Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle,” which is a classification standard for vehicles that produce no evaporative emissions.
Hyundai sells different models of PZEV cars, such as the Sonata and a limited edition of the Elantra. These models are built using low-pollution techniques that were initially available only in few states, such as California and Maine, but as of 2016 are part of a standard classification system for the entire United States. Hyundai PZEV cars have no evaporative emissions from their fuel systems and include a 15-year warranty for their zero emissions parts.
