Brawny paper towels are made in America by the Georgia-Pacific Corporation, which started as a hardwood lumber company and began manufacturing disposable tissues and paper towels in the 1960s. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
Brawny paper towels feature the Brawny man. The evolution of the Brawny man starts with the iconic 70s lumberjack that was featured on every roll. In 2003, the Brawny man received a modern day makeover with the help of Cincinnati design firm Deskey. The paper towels were also improved. The Brawny brand towels were made 16 percent heavier while also becoming available in pick-a-size sheets and heavy duty wet cloths.
