What Is the Highest GT Score Possible?
It’s unclear what is the highest GT score possible, but any score above 110 is considered above average. The GT or General Technical score is determined by a person’s performance on the Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension sections on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery exam.
The ASVAB exam is required for admittance into the military. It is broken into eight subsections: General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension: then, Mathematics Knowledge, Electronics Information, Auto and Shop Information and Mechanical Comprehension. The scores from these sections are then converted into 10 composite line scores that are used to determine the type of army job for which a person is qualified, according to GoArmy.com.
In addition to General Technical, the other scores include the Armed Forces Qualification Test, Clerical, Combat, Electronics, Field Artillery and General Maintenance; in addition to Mechanical Maintenance, Operators and Food, Surveillance and Communications and Skilled Technical.
