What Are Hermes' Special Powers?

The Greek god Hermes had the power to enter dreams, guide the souls of the dead to the underworld, and give luck and wealth. He also was the messenger of the gods of Olympus and had winged feet to help in this capacity.
Hermes was also said to be the most youthful of all the gods. He was the patron of roads, travellers, thieves, scholars, health and herds. He was recognizable by the golden herald's wand that he carried and by the winged boots and travellers cap that he wore. Greek mythology described him as mischievous and as a thief from birth, as he was able to steal all of his brother Apollo's cattle when he was still an infant.
