A ruling by the NFL determines that football goal posts that were previously 30 feet in height should amend to the height of 35 feet. The NFL passed this proposal from the New England Patriots in March of 2014.

The goal posts should be bright gold in color. They should be the single-standard type. The goal posts should offset from the end line. In width, they should be 18 feet and 6 inches apart.

The football field should be 160 feet wide and 360 feet in length. The end zones should be a depth of 30 feet. The try-for-point play line should be 6 feet inside the goal line.
