What Happens If You Lost Your Straight Talk Phone That Has Minutes Still on It?

Straight Talk Wireless allows a customer who has lost his phone to transfer minutes to a new phone, provided that the transfer is made before the date of the end of service of the lost or stolen phone. Customers are also able to reactivate stolen phones if they are recovered.

Straight Talk Wireless customers are advised to contact Straight Talk customer service by phone if their Straight Talk wireless phone is lost or stolen, according to the Straight Talk Wireless Policy and Procedure document. Customer Service representatives are able to assist the transfer of minutes assigned to the lost or stolen phone to a new device. It is also possible to transfer messages and data to the new device in addition to minutes.

If a lost or stolen Straight Talk Wireless phone is recovered by the owner, Straight Talk is able to reactivate the device provided that the owner can verify the account information associated with the phone. In some cases, phone numbers are illegally cloned from phones that have been stolen. If this occurs to a Straight Talk Wireless device, the phone is blocked from operation. Customers whose phone numbers have been cloned are also advised to contact Straight Talk customer service to resolve the issue.
