What Happened to Colored Toilet Paper?

As of 2015, colored toilet paper has been mostly discontinued due to cost of production and health reasons. Colored toilet paper has been shown to cause certain cancers in laboratory animals. It is also believed that colored toilet paper irritates the skin.

Colored toilet paper was introduced in the 1950s. It was very popular in the 1970s and early 1980s and was found on super market shelves until 2004. In the 1980s, doctors and scientist started to raise concerns about colored toilet paper. Because of these health concerns, the demand for colored toilet paper fell sharply.
