What Are Some Good Paints to Use on Outdoor Concrete?
Last Updated Mar 26, 2020 11:10:27 AM ET
Acrylic or oil-based paints are good for painting outdoor concrete walls, while epoxy resin paint is good for concrete floors, patios, sidewalks and driveways. Elastomeric wall paint that is used for bricks or masonry can also be used on concrete.
Opt for quality acrylic paint on a well-maintained concrete wall rather than cheap paints that do not last long and tend to peel or flake away fast. Use concrete stains instead of paint for damaged, porous or cracked surfaces. Epoxy resin works best for concrete floors since well-worn floors require long lasting paints and the durability of resins fills that need.
