What Are All the Flavors of Lay’s Potato Chips?
Since the establishment of Frito Lay in 1932, the snack company has created three distinct varieties of potato chip including the wavy chip, kettle cooked chip, and the original chip. Among these three styles, there are over forty flavors to choose from.
The majority of the flavors available exist in the Lay’s Original line. These flavors include Classic, Barbecue, Cheddar and Sour Cream, Chili Lime, Dill Pickle, Flaming Hot, Garden Tomato and Basil, Honey Barbecue, Lime, Lightly Salted, Pico di Gallo, Salt and Vinegar, and Sweet Southern Heat Barbecue.
Flavors in the Lay’s Kettle Cooked line include Applewood Smoked Barbecue, Jalapeño Cheddar, Salt and Vinegar, and Roasted Garlic and Sea Salt. This line in particular offers four flavors with 40% less fat than their regular potato chips. Flavors in the Lay’s Wavy line include Au Gratin, Hickory BBQ, Ranch, Lightly Salted, and Roasted Garlic and Salt.
Additionally, the snack company introduced a program titled “Do Us a Flavor” in which potato chip enthusiasts can submit their own flavor combinations for consideration. Among the flavors released, the brand encourages their customers to try each and vote for potential flavors to become permanent. In 2014, Bacon Cheddar Mac, Mango Salsa, Cappuccino, and Wasabi Ginger were released for voting.
