What Are the Factors of 22?

The number 22 has four factors: 1, 2, 11 and 22. A factor of a particular number is any number that divides into that number evenly, leaving no remainder.

Two factors of a number are always 1 and the number itself. Thus, 1 and 22 are factors of 22. Because 2 times 11 equals 22, 2 and 11 are also factors. No other number divides evenly into 22. Any number greater than 0 that ends in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 has 2 as a factor, and any number greater than 0 that ends in 0 or 5 has 5 as a factor.
