The University of California developed a curriculum program for preschool children called "Go, Glow, Grow." Glow foods are identified as foods that keep the hair shiny and make the eyes sparkle. Glow foods include all fruits and vegetables.
Go foods are grains that give children energy and allows them to play throughout the day. Grow foods are foods that aid in a child's physical development and include meat, milk and beans. The objectives of the program are to help children identify healthy foods and understand the benefits of eating healthy. The program also teaches children the importance of washing their hands and the benefits of exercise.
