What Dressings Are Available at Applebee’s?
Applebee’s offers traditional salad dressings, including ranch, blue cheese, honey mustard, Caesar and fat-free Italian, along with modern options, such as Mexi-ranch, Oriental vinaigrette, hot bacon vinaigrette and green goddess dressing. The restaurant also serves a chili-lime vinaigrette and a honey balsamic vinaigrette as of 2016, although dressing selections may vary depending on availability and location.
Applebee’s entrée-size salads are served with a suggested dressing that complements the theme of the salad. The fiesta chicken chopped salad, which features black bean-corn salsa, tortilla strips and chimicharri-glazed grilled chicken, is served with white cheddar and spicy jalapeño dressing. Fresh spinach leaves, almonds and grilled shrimp are tossed with hot bacon vinaigrette to create Applebee’s grilled shrimp and spinach salad. Applebee’s Mexi-ranch dressing tops the restaurant’s fiesta lime chicken dish and is served alongside the chicken fajita roll-up.
The house salad, which combines fresh greens, cucumbers and tomatoes with bacon pieces, shredded cheese and croutons, is the only item on the Applebee’s menu that is served with a choice of dressing as of 2016. The small Caesar salad and the large version with grilled chicken are both served with Applebee’s house-made garlic Caesar dressing. The green goddess wedge, which is a wedge of iceberg lettuce topped with pecans and bacon, is drizzled with blue cheese.
