How Do You Draw Cat Paw Prints?

To draw cat paw prints, draw a circle. Then draw four ovals, and change the circle to the shape of a fat spade. Repeat the process for each cat print.

  1. Draw a circle

Draw a circle for the main part of the paw print. It does not have to be a perfect circle. The size of the circle depends on how large you want the cat paw prints to be.

  2. Draw four ovals

Draw four ovals on one side of the circle. These ovals form the four toes of the cat that show up in its paw prints. Do not make marks for the cat’s claws. Cats have retractable claws, so their claws do not show up in their paw prints.

  3. Change the circle

Change the large circle shape in the middle into the shape of a fat spade or a wide kidney bean. This shape forms the large foot pad of the paw print. Erase the original circle to clean up your work.

  4. Repeat the process

Repeat the process for each cat print you wish to draw. If you wish to draw a trail of cat prints, draw a series of the cat paw prints, alternating between two rows with all the prints facing the same direction.
