How Do You Download Riverpoint Writer?
To download Riverpoint Writer, a plug-in for Microsoft Word, log in to University of Phoenix’s student eCampus portal and download it from the Center for Writing Excellence section of the site, under the Library tab. Some independent software aggregators, such as Software Informer, also offer the plug-in for free.
To access the file in the Center for Writing Excellence, click on APA Information, then click on the Riverpoint Writer hyperlink at the bottom of the page. Select your operating system and version of Microsoft Office from the drop-down menus. The plug-in is available for personal computer and Mac operating systems, as of 2016.
Click on the RiverpointWriterSetup.zip file, and choose a save location for the file to begin downloading. If you have any open Word documents, close them before beginning setup. Once the file has completed its download, open the save folder and unzip the file. For Windows users, unzip the file by right-clicking on it and selecting “Extract All Files.”
Execute the file and follow the prompts to complete installation. In Windows, do this with administrator permissions by right-clicking on the file and selecting “Run as Administrator.” To use the plug-in, run the Riverpoint Writer program before you open Word. The program opens Word for you with a window prompting you to customize your Riverpoint Writer settings for your document.
